USAID is Meant to Cripple & Destroy Countries

The Shelters That Clinton Built: Structurally unsafe and
formaldehyde laced, the "hurricane-proof" classroom trailers
installed by the Clinton Foundation in Haiti came from the
same company being sued for sickening Hurricane Katrina
victims. Warren Buffet's company was paid $1 million;
same amount he donated to HRC's campaign.
"USAID Go Home" is a 1996 article on the Third World Traveler website (still relevant today) and what a number of countries, such as Russia, Bolivia, Venezuela, Eritrea... have said to US spooks masquerading as aid in their country. False aid some folks call it. In Haiti it is a major issue (see here, here and here).

The headlines say its the end of foreign aid as we know it... "President Donald Trump’s vow to put “America first” includes a plan to drastically cut assistance to developing countries and merge the State Department with USAID, according to an internal budget document and sources.

The administration’s March budget proposal vowed to slash aid to developing countries by over one-third..."

This is Orwellian doublespeak of course, because the plan has always been to "put America first."

Donald Trump is reiterating what USAID and Hillary Clinton (see below) have both been caught candidly admitting:

"The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which has spent more than $1.5 billion in Haiti, explains its goal as “furthering America’s interests.” In a more candid assessment, contained in a document now over a decade-old and no longer publicly available, USAID explained that “the principal beneficiary of America’s foreign assistance programs has always been the United States.”
"Is USAID Helping Haiti to Recover, or US Contractors to Make Millions?"
by Jake Johnston | The Nation, January 21, 2015

America first is the plan. It's working just as it was designed to. What do you have to add to that Candidate Clinton?

“I believe that together we can make America great again,”
–William Jefferson Clinton in his 1991 presidential announcement speech.

.. and America is not great. You don't get an "A" for originality, because Ronald Reagan used it as his campaign slogan (perhaps foreshadowing Iran-Contra, Grenada war(!), the delayed AIDS response debacle, scapegoating Black women as welfare moms, tax hikes...).

Evidently, American presidents have a major problem with other countries acting in THEIR national interest though (Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Syria, Palestine, Venezuela, Haiti, Honduras, Iran, Somalia, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, ... this could go on for a while). One could argue that Saudi Arabia and America have a lot in common, seeing as how they both like a good decapitation strategy.

The Red Cross bought them tainted water during a UN initiated cholera epidemic.
A woman explains that the Red Cross recently visited the
camp to give vaccinations. Al Jazeera video exposing the
Red Cross' real mission in Haiti. It wasn't to help the people
with what they really needed to stay healthy: clean
drinking water. As the UN cholera infestation spread, the Red
Cross delivered unpurified water that made the people sick.

USAID being stripped of funds would be wonderful news for the impoverished global south. It would necessitate the immediate building of sound infrastructure and hopefully speed development; were it true. Alas, this is not the desire of the deep state establishment and Donald Trump has done a number of 180's in his stands so far; no withdrawal from Afghanistan being one. As campaign rhetoric is often just that; this is to be expected. A note to whoever may be planning a "decapitation" (Kathy Griffin, Brad Sherman... ), had you thought maybe President Donald Trump is actually not the right head?

UN/USAID/World Bank are the three-headed hydra monster representing the corporatocracy in Haiti. What a headache to be aided to death by these thieving aid agencies? They do the exact opposite of what they are supposed to do, which is end the need for their services. The old saying goes: "teach a man to fish", but these poverty pimps only take away the ability of a country to produce enough food to feed its people and replace it with a cycle of aid dependency.

When there is an end to this type of headline: "Canada Buys a "Lead" Role On Haiti Recovery Team;" we can look forward to a world where the miserable business of impoverishing a people is not profitable to foreign governments, who come to speculate and bid on men, women and children's sad existence as pawns in a global game of unbridled greed in the name of vulture capitalism.
"Aid is meant to cripple people. Governments in Africa are not allowed to write their own programs." – Isaias Afwerke, Eritrean President
"It's hard enough for today's citizens to figure out what our western governments are really doing in the world, so just imagine being a target of their policies overseas. When programmes branded as "aid" can cause serious harm, and their failures are blamed on the would-be recipients, confusion is sure to ensue... In this light, the aims of Washington or London can be as inscrutable to a vulnerable, crisis-racked country as the intentions of a half-seen cat are to a mouse."

On the third anniversary of the Haiti earthquake, it's time to question the US's helping hand

"NGOs who are such a force multiplier for us and such an important part of our combat team." – Colin Luther Powell (former US Secretary of State and War criminal who presented false evidence of WMDs to UN to start Iraq invasion/destruction)/Counterpunch
USAID is a poverty pimping US government secret service operation to uphold corporatist "interests."
"In Latin America, USAID has long earned a reputation of an organization whose offices are, in fact, intelligence centers scheming to undermine legitimate governments in a number of the continent's countries. The truth that USAID hosts CIA and US Defense Intelligence Agency operatives is not deeply hidden, as those seem to have played a role in every Latin American coup, providing financial, technical, and ideological support to respective oppositions. USAID also typically seeks engagement with the local armed forces and law-enforcement agencies, recruiting within them agents ready to lend a hand to the opposition when the opportunity arises." – End to USAID Spying Looms in Latin America by Nil NIKANDROV | 26.09.2012
The goal is for local government to lose control of vital public services, agriculture, electricity, water, construction, manufacturing, telecommunications... anything that will may have the ability to put money into the local economy and empower that country's leadership is sucked away, thus making them dependent on the predator economies of the global north and their pimps.

Chemonics, a leading USAID recipient of multi-million dollar contracts in Haiti. After the Haiti earthquake USAID gave Chemonics the lead role in one example: a "cash for work" program in Fort National. Chemonics (CEPR: Haiti Relief and Reconstruction Watch) they played a large part (as did William Jefferson* Clinton) in Haiti's loss of its food security:
Chemonics is a subsidiary of ERLY Industries, which is also the parent company of American Rice Inc. American Rice was perhaps the largest benefactor of the influx of "Miami rice" in the 80s and 90s in Haiti, wiping out thousands of Haitian farmers who could not compete with the cheaper, subsidized imported rice. American Rice Inc. officials were found to have paid bribes in 1998-1999 to custom officials in order to avoid import tariffs (already by then some of the lowest in the hemisphere due to IMF and World Bank policies). Chemonics has close ties to USAID, and relies on government contracts for over 90% of its revenue.
More on Chemonics at CEPR:
"... But Chemonics, whose contract with USAID explicitly states that decisions about what programs to fund “will be based upon US foreign policy interests in consultation” with the State Department, worked to further USAID’s objectives of “counter[ing] the destabilizing effects” and the “growing discontent” with the pace of reconstruction. They ran PR for the new industrial park, installing benches and flower planters in nearby areas to “project a positive image.” An audit later noted that the flowers soon died “from lack of care,” while the mayor decried the lack of community involvement. But business was good for Chemonics, whose CEO at the time received a $2.5 million bonus."

In Haiti, the US orchestrated two coups against the democratically elected government of Jean-Bertrand Aristide forcing their neoliberal agenda of privatization of all public industries and services. They bring in their poverty pimps to provide services that the "failed" Haitian government is unable to... no matter that they targeted that government with sanctions, boycotts, opposition groups, thugs, assassins... whatever means necessary to bring about the so-called "failure" of "socialism." Is it socialism, communism or a dictatorship when they destroy a country... they are interchangeable terms used by these fascist; a distraction from their role in destroying a country; bringing war, chaos and death, while promising that capitalist predators, central banks, foreign control will bring back order. Ezili Dantò calls this neoliberal nazi raid and plunder technique "playing arsonist and firemen."

They actually have reached their goal when a country can be declared a "failed state"... if there wasn't anything to fix, there wouldn't be any money to be made and they're influence would be negligible.

"Helpfully, powerful leaders now and again stop to explain their motivations. One such moment came in a speech given in October 2011 by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Addressing an audience of wealthy New Yorkers, she laid out a vision of what the US is trying to accomplish in the world; it was
"The question should always be "how will this
affect our economic growth?"
very telling for those trying to understand foreign aid – and its younger, hipper cousin, investment.

Clinton told the audience: "Our problems have never respected dividing lines between global economics and international diplomacy. And neither can our solutions." That is why, she explained, she has put "economic statecraft" at the heart of the US foreign policy agenda. Clinton further defined how the US can use "the forces and tools of global economics" to bolster American "diplomacy and presence" abroad and to strengthen the economy at home. She argued that America should "put economics at the center" of its foreign policy. In foreign relations, the question should always be "how will this affect our economic growth?"

A superpower such as the US would, of course, always consider its domestic interests, especially economic ones, when it acts abroad."
– Disaster aid: how US charity begins at home by Jonathan Katz
On the third anniversary of the Haiti earthquake, it's time to question the US's helping hand

They project their destructive naked greed for power and control on their victims. Venezuela is going through a stage of globalist terror that happened in Haiti in 1990 and again in 2004. Haiti is a proving ground for most terror tactics before they go global south, with the help of the corporatist media and their millionaire news anchor stenographers.
Ezili Dantò: Barack Obama and Bill Clinton did not “build Haiti back
better.” Where did the money go? Haiti recovery was about US land
grabbing, privatization of Haiti assets, militarizing Haiti police,
amending Haiti Constitution to better dominate and tightening
the occupation further with Martelly puppet government

Unfortunately, during these interventions, occupations, US intelligence financed death squad (FRAPH) cleansing of political opposition, bio-terrorism (UN cholera, USAID vaccines/"birth-control"/expired medicines... ); some have even found convincing evidence of weather manipulation and earthquake's from either frakking or HARPP (Venezuela and Russia both say the 2010 Haiti earthquake was man-made).

To make sure their control is not threatened the US has controlled every election since the coups in order to assure that real democracy did not have a ghost of a chance. The Empire's usual storm troopers - the Haitian (drug cartel) army were disbanded by surprise presidential winner Aristide after he was elected by a landslide over the US' (former World Bank executive) candidate – Marc Bazin)

Turns out, Hillary Clinton was a great strategic choice by Barack Obama for his Secretary of State given her experience in rigging elections.

“I do not think we should have pushed for an election in the Palestinian territories. I think that was a big mistake... and if we were going to push for an election, then we should have made sure that we did something to determine who was going to win.”
                         – Hillary Rodham Clinton (2006 interview with The Jewish Press)

Obama named Bill Clinton the UN "special envoy" to Haiti in 2009 and and after the devastating 2010 Haiti earthquake, Clinton was teamed with George W. Bush to form the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund because of all the special things he'd done for Haiti... i.e. "free trade reforms", destroying rice production to boost subsidized Arkansas rice farmers, mass starvation resulting from Haiti's inability to feed its people... good times.

Nothing much is changing, but if the Trump administration were to actually put an end to USAID's immense reach in countries like Haiti, it could end the unrelenting, cold, and calculated cycle of misery, impoverishment and underdevelopment. Withdrawing aid could impact Haiti in a very positive way and just maybe it could make America seem kinda nice again.

Is It Time To Revoke John Lewis’s Lifetime Civil Rights Hero Pass?

by Bruce A. Dixon
Original article is at Black Agenda Report
Reposted with their permission.

A Black Agenda Radio Commentary by BAR managing editor Bruce A. Dixon

John Lewis was a hero 52 years ago. What’s he doing nowadays with his Lifetime Civil Rights Hero pass? He’s a 14 term Atlanta congressman with nary a word to say on gentrification or the privatization of schools, roads, nature and the commons. He’s a pacifist with a US Navy ship named after him who votes for the NSA, Pentagon budgets, and re-arming apartheid Israel. Now his sainthood is useful again. But to whom and for what? Is It Time To Revoke John Lewis’s Lifetime Civil Rights Hero Pass?

Sheroes and heroes are people who take risks, who make great personal sacrifices to perform difficult and important duties for others. By that standard John Lewis and the six hundred who walked that bridge in Selma Alabama 52 years ago are heroes whose actions helped pass the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Let’s agree on that.

But long should that hero pass last? How many years, how many decades do you get to to boast and roast and toast and coast before you need to do something else even mildly heroic to keep your status current?

It’s not like Lewis has lacked new chances to serve the people this last half century. He’s represented a metro Atlanta district in Congress the past 28 years. Ruled by black mayors and the black political class since 1973, Atlanta has billed itself as “Black Mecca” though for more than half of black Atlanta there’s been little to celebrate. Black mayors have relentlessly gentrified the city, starting with the Carter Presidential Library in the 80s, the Olympics in the 90s, and after that demolition of public housing, privatization of the land under it, and the BeltLine project which steals $150 million annually from Atlanta’s public schools to build yuppie housing and shopping destinations. Marquee “development” projects have driven a six figure number of poorer black residents from the city. John Lewis never says a mumbling word about any of this. John Lewis never publicly contradicts the black Atlanta mayors who crack down on the homeless, who line up for the privatization of public property, public transit and public schools. Perhaps being a Legendary Civil Rights Hero puts him above all that.

Supporting Hillary Clinton last year, Lewis spoke out against free health care and free college tuition which many countries grant their young people, explaining that “free stuff” was just not the American Way. Lewis was also an early member of the Democratic Leadership Council, which irretrievably locked that party into subservience to its one percenter donors.

Sometimes members of Congress can undo historic wrongs. Lewis blew one such chance when he doubled down upon the expulsion of the descendants of black freedmen from the Cherokee nation in which they had once enjoyed voting rights.

John Lewis calls himself a pacifist and never misses a chance to lecture on the supreme utility of nonviolence. But the US Navy is building a ship with his name on it, a “fleet replenishment oiler” to resupply warships on deployment. Isn’t this an “honor” a pacifist should reject? And shouldn’t our Apostle of Non-Violence vote against every arms giveaway, sale and Pentagon budget? John Lewis doesn’t. Like most other members of the Black Caucus Lewis votes to fund mass surveillance and re-arm the apartheid state of Israel with depressing regularity.

It’s time to ask whether Civil Rights Hero status from 52 years ago is really enough to cancel out or ignore all this, and what purpose John’s Hero status serves today. John Lewis is in the news now because he called Big Cheeto’s presidency “not legitimate.” But why?
Is it because Lewis fears Trump will pursue more than 6 bloody wars, that he will deport millions of innocents, expand mass surveillance and militarized policing? Is it because Lewis knows the Donald will help greedy banksters stay ut of jail and he’ll enable hedge fund parasites to gentrify, plunder and privatize public education, nature and the commons? Probably not, because these are all Obama policies which Trump is expected to double down on.

John Lewis’s problem with Trump is that the CIA and FBI, which helped assassinate King and cover it up says that Russia helped elect him, and Lewis believes it. Big Cheeto did a Twitter fight with Lewis the other day and some of his followers called Lewis the n-word.

So now the Obama/Hillary liberals are flogging John Lewis’s tattered sainthood as hard as they can, to have a #NotMyPresident message that draws attention away from the many matters on which Republicans and the Obama/Hillary liberals agree. The old Civil Rights Hero does not oppose Trump for any reason which might lead to questioning past, present or future Democrats. Lewis is warming up the crowd for Obama’s exit and the entrance of whoever the Democrats run next.
This is what happens when there is no time limit on those Legendary Civil Rights Hero credentials. Time to revoke them.

Clinton Foundation in Haiti: Poverty Pimpin' Disaster Profiteering Crime Syndicate

The way that U.S. oligarchs like Billary Clinton and their kin (like Hillary's brother Anthony Rodham) conduct their personal business in Haiti, you would think this was the 18th century and they are the rich creoles1 and autocrats of Napoleonic France.

Protest to denounce last Nov 28 presidential
& legislative elections during the visit of
Secretary of State of the U.S. Hillary Clinton
to Port-au-Prince Jan. 30, 2011
On Sunday, Hillary Clinton announced her candidacy for the presidency of the United States. What a rush for white feminist who have been salivating about this since the Monica Lewinsky intern scandal. Admittedly, if one took a time machine back to that period, when Republican right-wingers were in attack mode over the "Arkansa bubba" ascending to the world's highest office, it would be accurate to say that most so-called liberal women and blacks were on Hillary's team. However, this is 2015 and there has been a lot of water under the proverbial bridge since then.

At her new campaign office in Brooklyn Haitians threw her a house-warming party of sorts: they protested her actions and failures, along with that of her husband Bill Clinton in Haiti, carrying signs that read "Where is the money?"
The protestors claimed that a portion of money meant for the recovery was directed to favored investors. They also say that organizations and individuals associated with the Clinton Foundation were given an unfair advantage in auctions of Haitian commodities, including gold mining rights.
The poverty pimpin' disaster profiteering crime syndicate operating in Haiti after the devastating earthquake want us to trust them with the disbursement of donor funds, however we have observed that when the Interim Haiti Recovery Commission (IHRC) headed by Bill Clinton voted to grant money to the Clinton Foundation and Bill Clinton recused himself, Susan Rice voted his proxy on behalf of USAID. So excuse us if we don't see it as a game-changer that on Sunday Hillary Clinton resigned from the board of the Clinton Foundation "to focus on her just-launched presidential campaign."

Seems like everyone is questioning the Clinton's handling of funds, whether it is the Haiti donor funds or the millions their foundation accepted from foreign governments. These hot-button questions just won't go away and will dog this "inevitable" democratic candidate.

The Clinton's are as toxic a choice for the democrats as they were in 2008. Makes one think that the democrats are not in it to win it. The discussion may just be academic though because, the last time voters elected a Democrat to the White House after a president from the same party had just served a full term? The last time was 159 years ago in 1856, before the Civil War.

Clintons’ Foundation has Raised Nearly $2 Billion — and Some Key Questions
washingtonpost.com
– February 18, 2015
It doesn't bode well for Hillary Clinton's successful candidacy that Salon (a "left" website) ran a story before the anticipated announcement basically calling her a loser: "Hillary Clinton just doesn't get it: She's already running a losing campaign."

The Clintons used their positions in the US government to conduct their private business and called it “helping poor Haitians.”

How ironic is it that the US ("the land of the free") has taken the place of 18th century autocratic France in the virtual enslavement, harsh repression of democratic movements and the export of the rich resources of Haiti?

Protest to denounce last Nov 28 presidential
& legislative elections during the visit of
Secretary of State of the U.S. Hillary Clinton

The hidden war on Haiti has been outsourced to the UN military armies and police of 60+ countries (including the "war" prone and impoverished countries of: Afghanistan, Yemen, Turkey, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Tunisia, Indonesia, Nigeria and Mali) and a patchwork of NGO administrators under the umbrella of The United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Haiti is now a fiscal paradise for the United States' richest families - wealthy as a Creole? No, wealthy as a Poverty Pimp.

In the 11 year illegal occupation of Haiti by the US and keep in mind that Haiti does not qualify for Chapter 7 of the UN Charter.
Some of the key points about the sad situation for Haiti's beleaguered population:
  • UN Cholera has killed over 10,000 Haitians (the official count is underestimated) and sickened 850,000 more, yet there has been a cover-up and no accountability.
  • A U.S. sanctioned Dictatorship commenced as of January 12 this year. Haitians protested this peacefully in the streets and struggle to survive with rates of unemployment at 60% or more, as food and oil prices skyrocket. Protest were daily and picking up steam when a suspect Carnival tragedy that left some 17 Haitians dead. Symbols that had decidedly Western associations (skull & bones or pirate jolly rogers suggests US political honchos, not a Martelly regime sacrifice or curse to keep him in office as a despot/dictator like his hero Papa Doc Duvalier) were prominent at the point (the PaP cemetery) where the electrocution occurred.
  • How is it that the vulture capitalist brother of Hillary Clinton, Tony Rodham got gold mining permits at the lowest royalty rate in the Western Hemisphere, while the masses starve on less than a dollar-a-day - not knowing where their next meal is coming? How unconscionable is that?
  • Where are the donor monies that were supposed to build Haiti back better? Symbolically, the country's capital building is still in ruins.
INVESTIGATE THE CLINTONS CORRUPT DEALINGS IN HAITI
  • The new Republican Congress must investigate former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's suspect dealings in Haiti and the extremely shady way The Hillary, Bill & Chelsea Clinton Foundation has operated in Haiti.
  • The U.S. Congress must take up the question of AID distribution and make changes to the TIED aid system, which retards, rather than promotes development. Haitians want their country to be self-sustaining, but the NGO system, which acts more as a slush fund, does not build self-sustaining institutions in Haiti or anywhere else they operate.

Foreign Aid is meant to cripple people
Interview with President Isaias Afwerki:“Anyone who takes aid is crippled. Aid is meant to cripple people…

  • Support democracy by scheduling long-delayed elections for a new parliament and president  immediately, with neutral parties acting as election officials
  • It should be a "no brainer" that given the unprecedented rate of impoverishment, unemployment, illiteracy, and the unjust way that outside intervention has destroyed development in Haiti that a "Marshall Plan" to restore real democracy, sovereignty and sustainability by establishing a "Haiti Permanent Fund" similar to the "Alaska Permanent Fund" be set-up that provides for a certain share of gold, oil, natural gas, iridium, copper and other revenues to benefit Haitians and future generations of Haitians.

NOTES
[1]  How Haiti Saved America at New America Foundation
To be “as rich as a Creole” was a familiar boast in Paris, and a substantial portion of the French economy depended on this one distant settlement. This was the jewel of the French empire, furnishing the coffee drunk in Paris, the sugar needed to sweeten it, and the cotton and indigo worn by men and women of fashion. Saint Domingue’s commerce added up to more than a third of France’s foreign trade. One person in eight in France earned a living that stemmed from it. By 1776, this tiny colony produced more income than the entire Spanish empire in the Americas."

Hillary Clinton's Scandalous Conduct in Haiti: Charity Begins At Home

Another example in a continuing lineup of scandals that make Hillary Clinton toxic and unfit to be considered for the presidency of the United States.

Carlos Slim's net worth is more than $64.8 billion dollars. The richest man on earth is a Mexican telecom mogul, whose career's "most interesting parts" are his links to businessmen "suspected of involvement in Mexico’s so-called ‘Cartel of the Southeast." He is a Clinton associate and donor to the Clinton Foundation. In 2015, Carlos Slim became the largest shareholder in the New York Times. William Engdahl, an author and lecturer with a degree in politics from Princeton suggests in this revealing article that this may explain why we will not be reading about the "murky dealings" of The Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation in Haiti from the New York Times; "formerly America’s most respected newspaper of record." According to Haiti activist Ezili Dantò: "The Clintons have used governmental power to conduct their private business and called it ‘helping poor Haitians.’”

Hillary Clinton should get far more scrutiny for her scandalous conduct in Haiti; from rigging the March 2011 presidential election for her favored candidate Michel "Sweet Mickey" Martelly (supporter of the CIA created death squad FRAPH) to insuring that her brother Tony Rodham and "a company that barely exists." got a "sweetheart gold mine concession in Haiti" that "royally cheated" the state of Haiti.

Hillary: The New York Times Will Never Tell Us This
Article by F. William Engdahl First appeared at Journal New Eastern Outlook

New York Times shareholder Carlos Slim is ranked "the Richest Man on earth." The Mexican telecom mogul is The NY Times' largest stockowner and long-time business partner of Hillary’s foundation in Haiti.

The richest person in the world is Carlos Slim, a Mexican. Yet, the people of Mexico remain largely poor and impoverished.
If she wasn’t such an ice-cold-hearted person, one might almost feel sorry for Hillary Rodham Clinton. Now, before she even officially declares her candidacy for the Democratic Party nomination in 2016 to become successor to Barack Obama as President, she lands in the middle of another very ugly scandal. This new scandal might well spell the end of her presidential obsession, and that of her obsessive husband Bill Clinton to get back into the power loop.

The new scandal involves Haiti, that tormented island in the Caribbean which gets hit not only by earthquakes but also by the ravages and looting acts of the Clintons and their friends and relatives. It involves obvious misuse of Bill Clinton’s position in Haiti since the January 2010 earthquake that killed more than 300,000 Haitians. It involves nepotism with the brother of Hillary Clinton. It involves Hillary directly, and it involves a foundation owned by the Clinton family which works closely with a reputed Mexican narco kingpin and some of the dirtiest Clinton political associates from their days in Washington.

Charity begins at home…

The timing of events here is important. On March 5, the popular web blog Breitbart published a story taken from an about-to-be-released new book by award-winning journalist, Peter Schweitzer titled, Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich. The book details facts around an unprecedented award for a gold mine, the first such granted in Haiti by the government in 50 years, to an obscure North Carolina company named VCS Mining to mine the Morne Bossa.

VCS Mining according to Schweitzer, had on its board of directors Tony Rodham. Never heard of him? Hillary Clinton’s family name is Hillary Rodham and Tony is her brother. Not only that, but the mining company also lists another board member, former Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive. Bellerive co-chaired the “charitable” Interim Haiti Recovery Commission with former US President and Hillary’s husband (at least legally), William Jefferson Clinton.

Moreover, the terms of the first new gold mining license granted by the Haiti government were made with no Congressional involvement and the state of Haiti got royally cheated. The terms of Rodham’s gold windfall upset members of Haiti’s senate: The government’s royalties under the deal were just 2.5 per cent, half the customary rate. And VCS mining has an option to renew the terms for 25 years.

On March 6, one day after the March 5 story hit, VCS Mining on its scanty website (which reveals no single name of any officers or directors nor any annual report or financial report), published an “Immediate Press Release.” It denied that Rodham or Bellerive played any role in the highly suspicious and strange deal. Even more bizarre is that the press release is the only statement on the company’s entire website.

Further search in the company directories of Bloomberg/BusinessWeek to find names of the current board turned up…..nothing. In a report on the company dated March 12, 2015, Bloomberg wrote, “There is no Other Board Members data available.” Did the company scrub their records to hinder further embarrassing scandals that would jeopardize Hillary’s presidential bid which, until two weeks ago when the State Department email scandal broke, looked like a done deal?

The Clinton Foundation, State Department and Haiti

It is looking more and more likely that the emails Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton wrote in the years she was Secretary, which she refuses to turn over in full as required by law to the US Government, would contain explosive revelations about her role in Haiti after the earthquake.

It has just been revealed that she used a private email address run on her own server, during her years at the State Department, and never had a ‘state.gov’ address as required for government official business. She ran all her professional emails through her own Internet domain, ‘clintonemails.com.’ When she left office her emails left with her. That included emails that would have dealt with her response to the Haiti earthquake. The Federal Records Act requires employees of executive branch agencies to keep all of their emails and make all of them available for permanent retention.

She was Secretary of State from January 21, 2009 to February 1, 2013. In December, 2012 Hillary’s brother’s company got the lucrative gold mining contract. During her time in State, the State Department through its USAID disbursed $3.6 billion for Haitian “earthquake relief.”

The plot gets uglier. While she was doling out billions in US taxpayer dollars to unspecified projects in Haiti, husband Bill Clinton was serving as UN Special Envoy for Haitian earthquake relief as co-chair with Jean-May Bellerive of the Interim Haiti Recovery Commission. At the same time, Bill was head of the Clinton Foundation, which claimed to have raised $36 million from “private contributors” for Haiti relief. However, the Clinton Foundation, at the time Hillary was Secretary of State, also accepted money from countries that Hillary Clinton dealt with while Secretary, including the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Iran, brazen conflicts of interest should Clinton become president. In one case the Clinton Foundation accepted a “gift” of $500,000 from the Algerian government to “benefit earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.” Hello?

So to sum up, to date Hillary as US Secretary of State handed out billions in USAID money in Haiti. Husband Bill was taking money for his private foundation from foreign governments that Secretary Hillary deals with in an official capacity. Then the day she resigns from the State Department in February 2013, Hillary joined their daughter and Bill to become a named principal in the now named Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation. And brother Tony Rodham just happens to be lucky and land a lucrative gold mining contract in Haiti at the same time? I think the trials and tribulations of Hillary Rodham Clinton have only begun.

The Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation

Then we have to look more closely into the Clinton Foundation and there we find interesting people chosen to be on their Board of Directors. Bruce Lindsey serves as the chairman of the Board for the Clinton Foundation. He has been described as Bill Clinton’s Consigliere, as in the mafia lawyer who cleans up messes in the family. Lindsey has been at Bill’s side since their days in Little Rock when Bill was governor and Hillary a lawyer with the Rose law firm.

Lindsey was Clinton’s White House Counsel for all eight years. Now he is chair of the Clinton Foundation. During the Clinton presidency, Lindsey was accused by Republicans of soliciting Asian money for Democrats and for Clinton’s legal defense fund on the Monika Lewinsky-ted impeachment trial. Lindsey was present at White House meetings with shady Clinton fund-raising figures such as John Huang and James Riady. Republicans at the time also suspected Lindsey–who oversaw White House document-gathering in response to congressional subpoenas–was “cleansing” documents to keep information from the Congressional panels.

Now we continue looking at today’s Clinton Foundation board of directors and lo and behold we find Ms Cheryl Mills. Never heard of her? She was Hillary’s Chief of Staff at the State Department and as it states in her bio, she “served as counselor and chief of staff at the US Department of State where she managed the foreign policy and operational priorities for the $55 billion agency.” Mills was Manager of foreign policy and operational priorities for Hillary Clinton? Did she also play a dirty role in the Haiti scandals with Bill Clinton’s Interim Haiti Recovery Commission when Hillary’s USAID was splashing billions of US taxpayer dollars into something or some ones in Haiti? We may never know because it comes out in the latest State Department “email-gate” scandal that not only Hillary refused to use official US Government internet email for state business. Fellow member of the board of directors of the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, Cheryl Mills also used the private clintonemail.com email address for her government correspondence.

‘World’s Richest Man’

Then another member of the exotic Clinton Foundation board is a mining and motion picture mogul, Frank Giustra. In 2007, Frank Giustra and Bill Clinton launched something called the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership. Their stated purpose was to create “social and economic development programs in parts of the world where poverty is widespread, including Colombia, Peru, Mexico, and Haiti.” That morphed into the Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative (CGSGI). The two men then brought in a third, a Mexican named Carlos Slim, who matched their initial $100 million fund. The three men apparently enjoyed working together so in 2010, just after the Haiti earthquake, with Clinton as Special UN Envoy to Haiti, they established another $20 million fund to finance small businesses in earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

According to the annual Forbes list of the world’s richest people, Carlos Slim is probably the richest, just passing Bill Gates to be worth an estimated $81.6 billion. He owns Telmex, the largest telecom in Mexico and a network of banks and companies and airlines. He even bought himself blue-blood WASP respectability several years ago by rescuing the ailing New York Times for a mere $250 million.

As well, Carlos Slim is in the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the RAND Corporation, a major Pentagon contractor and leading neo-conservative think tank behind the US CIA strategies of Color Revolutions, “swarming” and such. That has interesting implications for US national security.

The most interesting parts of Carlos Slim’s career however are its overlaps with the Mexican drug cartel. Mexican journalists speak openly that Slim amassed his colossal fortune not just by charging the highest phone rates in Latin America. According to award-winning journalist Daniel Hopsicker, Carlos Slim, the philanthropy partner of the Clinton Foundation, “has long-standing business ties with wealthy Mexican businessmen suspected of involvement in Mexico’s so-called ‘Cartel of the Southeast,’ the drug trafficking organization based in Cancun which came to light two years ago with the crash on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula of an American-registered (N987SA) Gulfstream jet carrying nearly four tons of cocaine.”

According to Hopsicker, Fernando Chico Pardo, a top level business associate of Carlos Slim, left Slim’s employ with the latter’s blessing, to take over Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste, S.A. de C.V., (ASUR), a publicly-traded corporation which Mexican sources say moves large quantities of cocaine through Cancun International Airport, which ASUR runs and manages. ASUR controls a dozen Mexican airports. Pardo, according to these reports, was Slim’s alter-ego and right-hand for 16 years. He still has a seat on the board of Carlos Slim’s holding company and Pardo’s brother, Jaime Chico Pardo, is President of Slim’s major holding, Mexican telecommunications giant Telmex.

Mexican well-researched press reports claim that Fernando Chico Pardo’s Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste, S.A. de C.V., (ASUR) is involved in the drug trafficking major leagues, and was reportedly complicit in the big “drug move” in September of 2007 which ended with an American Gulfstream jet carrying 4 tons of cocaine crashing in the Yucatan.

Hopsicker adds,“the Gulfstream (N987SA) was known to belong to the CIA in Columbia and Central America, and to fly for the DEA as well…according to exclusive reporting in NarcoNews.”

Hillary and ‘Sweet Mickey’ Martelly

Presumptive US Democratic Presidential candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton’s Clinton Foundation has activities in Haiti with Carlos Slim, Mexican giga-billionaire and reputed business associate of leading Mexican drug cartel figures, who sits on the Executive Board of Washington’s Pentagon and CIA-linked RAND Corporation and who owns a major stake in the New York Times. Hillary’s kid brother, Tony Rodham, wins the sweetheart gold mine concession in Haiti with a company that barely exists. It all begins to stink like the cesspool outside the factory pig farm manure dump of Smithfield Foods in Mexico.

Leading Haitian lawyer and a genuine human rights activist, Ezili Dantò, charges that UN Envoy to Haiti, Bill Clinton as head of the Haitian relief fund was responsible for some $6 billion of international relief aid received. “Less than 1% of this amount made it to the Haitian government. Bill Clinton had total control of the balance.” She adds, “Hillary and Bill Clinton ‘opened Haiti’ as their private asset to liquidate. They used the resources of the World Bank, the State Department, USAID, the UN, the Private Military Security Contractors, the US military, and the Fed’s passport and visa issuance capabilities. They got kickbacks called ‘donations’ from anyone who wished to buy from them a piece of Haiti lands, oil, iridium, uranium or gold. The Clintons have used governmental power to conduct their private business and called it ‘helping poor Haitians.’”

Dantò adds that Bill Clinton made no attempt to conceal his Haiti aid corruption. Neither did US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton: “They pushed their own Haiti staff members into nominal positions of power to rubber stamp their edicts. Haiti Prime Minister Gary Conille, who succeeded Jean Max Bellerive, worked as chief of staff for Bill Clinton and as a UN development expert.

“Cheryl Mills, another Clinton staffer named in the Clinton “email-gate” scandal and who today is on the board of the Clinton Foundation, also served as the United States’ representative on the Interim Haiti Recovery Commission (IHRC).

Dantò elaborated further that, “Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Cheryl Mills, her chief of staff at the State Department, brought intense US pressure to bear on the Haitian government and Electoral Council to advance Martelly, who finished third, to the first place in the runoff, insuring his election as President in March, 2011. Hillary Clinton revoked the visas of several Haitian officials she felt were not complying, prematurely announced the election dispute was over, threatened to cut off aid if the doctored elections and OAS ruling to advance Martelly to the second rounds were not accepted by Haiti. The US even threatened to forcibly remove Haiti president Preval if he didn’t comply and put Martelly in the elections.”

Martelly, known in Haiti by his musician name, Michel ‘Sweet Micky’ Martelly, backed the CIA-created right-wing paramilitary Front for the Advancement and Progress of Haïti and proposed to re-instate the Armed Forces of Haiti, which were disbanded by former Haitian President Aristide in 1995 because they were the terror arm of deposed dictator ‘Baby Doc’ Duvalier. The CIA ousted the popular Haitian nationalist, democratically-elected Aristide, and forced him into South African exile. According to Ezili Dantò, Hillary and Bill Clinton engineered the Presidency of Martelly, a cocaine-loving rock keyboard musician, to cover up their corruption.

She adds, “The quake monies benefited Clintons’ cronies, the Clinton Foundation big business donors, the Clintons’ luxury spa resort and hotel partners, the military industrial/intelligence complex and the usual Washington beltway bandits, like Chemonics. The holocaust for Haiti continued. What’s worst was the Clintons’ use of shock and trauma-the cataclysmic 2010 earthquake and 2010 UN-imported cholera traumas-to push the 2010 doctored elections down the Haitian people’s throats to outright dictatorship.”

It’s beginning to look like Hillary Rodham Clinton faces far more scrutiny for her dealings than she hoped for. But one thing is certain. The New York Times, formerly America’s most respected newspaper of record, will never tell us this about Hillary’s murky dealings in Haiti. Why? Look no further than Carlos Slim, that paper’s second largest stockowner and long-time business partner of Hillary’s foundation in Haiti.

Will Jean-Bertrand Aristide Apologize for Coup-napping?

Former president George W. Bush is expected to ask Jean-Bertrand Aristide for an apology for his reluctance to leave the Haitian presidency at the request of the United States in the early morning hours of February 29, 2004.

Reports of the expected announcement comes from officials high up or just high in the U.S. State Department. Some have speculated that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton herself may be issuing the statement on behalf of the former president, who in recent years has formed a close and at times playful bound with her husband, ex-president Bill Clinton.

According to a source at the State Department, who spoke on condition of anonymity, the extension of this "olive branch" will be the highlight a joint event which will be attended by Bush, the Clintons and representatives of Haiti's rich oligarchy.

The brief statement from Bush will say:
"Greetings, Jean-Bertrand, it's George Bush here... Jr. I just wanted to reach across the airwaves and the years and ask you to consider something. I would love you to consider an apology some time and some full explanation of why you did what you did with my Embassy goo-oo-n… personnel. Why didn't you have the sense to leave immediately? Why did you have to be "persuaded" to sign that resignation letter and get on that plane? So what, you weren't told where we were taking you and your family? Why didn't you just trust that the U.S. had your best interest at heart when we took you "back to Africa" as it were? After all, they do speak French in the Central Republic of Africa.
So give it some thought and certainly pray about this... ah I know you were ex-communicated by the Catholic Church for your political activism on behalf of the poor, but still do pray on it, won't ya? Do come to understand why you did what you did. OK, have a good day there in South Africa. Say hi to that guy who was on the terrorist watch list for most of my presidency… ah what's his name, Mande... ah something."

Why is the International Community Financing Sham Elections in Haiti?

The Fanmi Lavalas party slogan embraces unity: "Everyone around the table." In Kreyol: "Yon Sèl Nou Fèb, Ansanm Nou Fò, Ansanm, Anssanm Nou Se Lavalas."
For the second time this year, U.S. Lawmakers are expressing concern about the exclusion of Fanmi Lavalas and 33 other parties from the November 28 elections in Haiti.

October 8, 2010: Reuters reports that U.S. lawmakers warn of flaws in Haiti vote process:
"The lawmakers urged Clinton to demand the elections include all eligible political parties and easy access to voting for all Haitians, including 1.5 million people displaced by the quake that wrecked Port-au-Prince and killed up to 300,000."

June 30, 2010: A report issued by Senator Richard Lugar, the ranking Republican on the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee highlighted the same concern. U.S. lawmakers are also quoted as deferring to Hillary Clinton for her support on the issue.

Secretary Hillary Clinton has yet to state her position on the exclusion of Fanmi Lavalas and other parties from the Haitian elections. She's got more pressing issues to address. In September speaking along side Haitian Prime Minister and France's Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, the U.S. Secretary of State expressed her frustration with those displaced Haitians in the death camps who were complaining about the slow pace of aid, branding them "whiner." The most pointed headline was: "US and France Scold Displaced Haitians and Other Whiners for Being 'Impatient' and 'Unrealistic'."

The Clinton's who recently purchased a palatial 7000 square foot residence in New Bedford, NY evidently have good intentions, but don't seem to be making much leeway in helping the 1.5 million Haitians living in squalid, horrid and dehumanizing conditions in what some call "death camps."

The Bill Clinton charity, Clinton Global Initiatives is widening efforts in Haiti after his recent visit. The charity, headed by daughter Chelsea Clinton (who has so far not visited Haiti) is donating a cool half-a-million dollars to Sean Penn.

Haiti's Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) showed their appreciation for the Clinton visit, but many camp residents held spontaneous demonstrations for the return of President Aristide. The protests must not resonate with ex-president Clinton; if they did he would surely have demanded a free and fair election in Haiti where all parties are allowed to participate.

The election campaign continues for the remaining approved nineteen presidential candidates. Two of the candidates have hoped to benefit from the support of Fanmi Lavalas.

Leslie Voltaire & Yves Cristalin are both claiming they have the support of Fanmi Lavalas. Fanmi Lavalas is evidently not as "irrelevant" as some pretend. A Fanmi Lavalas representative is denying that it endorses any candidate for the presidential elections:
"Felix Ansyto Commission Mobilization of Fanmi Lavalas, said that "the Lavalas political organization, does not endorse any candidate in the presidential masquerade" recalling that the charter of the Organization in its Article 8, prohibits its members to belong to any other political party for any reason whatsoever. "Clearly we are not concerned with elections announced", recalling that the organization of Jean Bertrand Aristide was removed from the electoral process."
--Haiti Libre
The Haiti presidential "selection" is comprised of candidates without a constituency or electorate. The question of the legitimacy of elections without the majority party is evidently an issue for some in the U.S. Congress.

The obvious question is: Why is the international community financing sham presidential elections in Haiti?
“In order for peace to reign, one must speak the truth, and that is why I have spoken of a political abduction, ... ... Far from my own country, but in deep communion with all Haitians, including Haitians abroad, I continue to launch an appeal for peaceful resistance.”
—Jean-Bertrand Aristide

UPDATE 10.20.2010: State Department asked to explain Haiti elections policy, but a spokesperson has no answers... and evidently is not too concerned about the issue.
Last week the U.S. State Department was asked about the issue for the second time, yet once again did not have an answer. The exclusions problem has dragged on for months, becoming a growing scandal.

“Justice delayed is justice denied,” Weisbrot said. “The U.S. has known about this problem for months, and it has been reported numerous times in the international press, not to mention that it is a major bone of contention in Haiti. Imagine if we had an ‘election’ in the U.S. and both the Democratic and Republican parties were not allowed to participate. The Obama Administration’s inability to explain why U.S. taxpayer dollars are being used to support such a blatantly anti-democratic process is inexcusable.”
[...] After the letter from 45 members of Congress was sent to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton last week, a reporter asked for comment during the State Department daily press briefing. It was the second time the issue had been raised during the briefings (the first was September 15 after an open letter [PDF] to Clinton signed by over 20 NGO’s). The exchange reveals the State Department’s lack of concern regarding the issue.

Sandra Felicien Quake Survivor: It's Like Screaming Into the Wind

Nine months after the devastating earthquake, many are criticizing the slow pace of relief for Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in Haiti. UN & NGOs' standards for response for hurricanes and disasters are pitifully inadequate for the scope of the humanitarian crisis. The bureaucrats appear to be oblivious to the suffering.

The Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti released a highly critical report which shows the immensity of the humanitarian crisis on the ground last week titled, "We've Been Forgotten": Conditions in Haiti's Displacement Camps Eight Months After the Earthquake.

According to the report: 75% of families had someone go an entire day without eating in the past week; 44% of families primarily drank untreated water; 78% of families lived without enclosed shelter; and 48% had been threatened with forced eviction. There have been increased protests demanding a solution to the lack of adequate housing.

U.S. and France bureaucrats Hillary Clinton and Bernard Kouchner point to the growing misery and dissatisfaction of Haitian earthquake victims as "impatience." In their estimation, the cries of distress are a sign of "unrealistic" expectations and ignorance of the "immensity of the disaster." At the meeting, "US and France scolded displaced Haitians and other whiners."

Evidently, the slow pace of recovery doesn't trouble Secretary Clinton as much as the lack of appreciation being shown by homeless Haitians for the "people who are working so hard" to help them.

The remarks were made at a meeting with Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, where the three signed two memoranda of understanding: one to set up an industrial zone to create 10,000 jobs and the other to finance the rebuilding of the main hospital in Port-au-Prince.

Bellerive aired "his concerns about the pace and size of what we are doing today." He added that "impatience is increasing," with the need to show results right away in Haiti.

The Haitian premier called for a solution to be offered within three months for at least half of Haitians who have lost their homes, and who are doing their best to survive in temporary shelters.

Some 125,000 Haitian families were put up in the emergency camps following the January 12 earthquake. The 7.0 magnitude earthquake killed 250,000 people.

Over this summer and the past weekend there was mass suffering as fierce storms buffeted the island. There were 5 killed, 55 hurt, 2000 tents destroyed during Friday's storm in Port-au-Prince. Some photos from the storm damage are here and here.

Camp dwellers are fighting the elements and exposed to further disaster from storms and hurricanes and the attending mud slides and risk from diseases. They are also endangered from the high risk of further earthquake activity at any time and the attending aftershocks.

Those killed by the storm on Friday included two young girls and a 93-year-old woman who lived in close quarters with the tens of thousands of people left homeless by the powerful January 12 quake. According to this story, in July, a baby and mother were struck by lightning in Camp Corail and the baby died.

These are death camps where only the strong are expected to survive. Survival of the fittest.

While the rebuilding of the Port-au-Prince main hospital is an important priority, the other main concern should not be building sweatshops, rather it should be tackling the critical humanitarian need for shelter for the over 1.3 million homeless people in 1,300 camps.

In spite of the dangers the people face, the United States and France warned Monday against the growing impatience with the slow pace of recovery.
Hillary Clinton said, "Those who expect progress immediately are unrealistic and doing a disservice to the many people who are working so hard."

[Bernard] Kouchner said that "It's because they have no idea of the immensity of the disaster."

[...] Yet, it may be the foreign ministers who are unaware of the immensity of the disaster on the ground for the millions of Haitians still homeless nearly 9 months after the earthquake.
Although "Two recent protest marches have sought to make the homeless a central issue in the upcoming presidential campaign," a New York Times article reports: the tent camp residents are too "miserable, weary and in many cases fighting eviction [...] to have the energy to become a vocal force."

What has gained traction, the article reports, are the posting of poignant letters from camp dwellers who are suffering in the aftermath of the earthquake. The letters have poured in to complaint boxes installed by the International Organization for Migration, which said they "did not expect to tap directly into a well of pent-up emotions." The organization got 700 letters in three days from their first boxes.

Ms. Saint Hilaire, 33: "To all the members of concerned organizations, I thank you first for feeling our pain, I note that you have taken on almost all our problems and some of our greatest needs."

She then "explained that she had lost her husband and her livelihood to the Jan. 12 earthquake and now found herself hungry, stressed and stranded in a camp annex without a school, a health clinic, a marketplace or any activity at all."

“Please — do something!” she wrote from Tent J2, Block 7, Sector 3, her new address.

"“We don’t want to die of hunger and also we want to send our children to school. I give glory to God that I am still alive — but I would like to stay that way!”

Marie Jean Jean: “I feel discouraged, I don’t sleep comfortably, I gave birth six months ago, the baby died, I have six other children, they don’t have a father, I don’t have work, my tarp is torn, the rain panics me, my house was crushed, I don’t have money to feed my family, I would really love it if you would help me.”

Other Haitians write: “Living under a tent is not favorable neither to me nor to my children” and “We would appreciate your assistance in obtaining a future as one does not appear to be on our horizon.”

Paul Wilbert - Camp: Boulos: Need: House. Demand: $1,250. Project: Build house. Thank you.”

Sandra Felicien - Camp Corail 3: We are so powerless, It is like we are bobbing along on the waves of the ocean, waiting to be saved. Sept. 14. Today we feel fed up with the bad treatment in Block 7. Have you forgotten about us out here in the desert? You don’t understand us. You don’t know that an empty bag can’t stand. A hungry dog can’t play. Other tent camps have health clinics or schools or at least something to do, Why don’t we have such things? Aren’t we people, too?”

“I don’t know why I keep writing,” she said. “To this point they have not responded. It’s like screaming into the wind.”

Sarah Palin's 18 Million Cracks –
Repackaging McCain As An Agent of Change

Sarah "Barracuda" Palin attempts to steal the ball from an opponent in high school.
Sarah Palin has demonstrated how closely the McCain campaign is tied to the Bush administration. Her attack speech on Wednesday night was penned by former Bush speechwriter Matthew Scully. The speech switched gears from pushing McCain's experience to appropriating Obama's message of change.

Sarah Palin read the material in a mocking and sarcastic manner -- with all the acquired aplomb of an experienced TV personality. Below are a few of the cracks she made at the expense of the Obama team -- ten million more to go?
PALIN: “There is much to like and admire about our opponent. But listening to him speak, it’s easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform – not even in the state senate.”
Known as the backhand compliment, this tactic is designed to raise your opponent above your head before you slam them to the ground. On the other hand, it is instructive to learn that the McCain campaign will lie to the American people with the same impunity that the Bush administration displays. One major bill that Barack Obama co-sponsored with Republican Senator Richard Lugar is now law. In Dec. 2006, the Senate passed the Lugar-Obama bill to restrict the global spread of conventional weapons.
PALIN: “The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes, raise payroll taxes, raise investment income taxes, raise the death tax, raise business taxes, and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars.”
The usual refrain from Republicans, who accuse democrats of "taxing and spending" – well we know who the real spenders are, because everytime a Republican gets elected, they proceed to grow the deficit, borrow from Peter (China) to pay Paul (Iraq war) and put this country in debt, while reducing the tax burden for corporations and the wealthiest one percent of the population.
PALIN: “Our opponents say, again and again, that drilling will not solve all of America’s energy problems - as if we all didn’t know that already. But the fact that drilling won’t solve every problem is no excuse to do nothing at all.”
Palin Said She Would Beg to Disagree With Candidate Who Said We Can’t Drill Our Way Out of Our Problem. Asked by Invester’s Business Daily “Some politicians and presidential candidates say we can’t drill our way out of our energy problem and that drilling in ANWR will have no effect. What’s your best guess of the impact on prices?” Palin responded, “I beg to disagree with any candidate who would say we can’t drill our way out of our problem or that more supply won’t ultimately affect prices. Of course it will affect prices. Energy being a global market, it’s impossible to venture a guess on (specific) prices.” [Investor’s Business Daily,
7/11/08]
PALIN: “Taxes are too high … he wants to raise them.”
Palin Supported Increasing Wasilla Sales Tax From 2 to 2.5 Percent to Build $14.7 Million Sports Center. “Wasilla residents have given the go ahead to building a new multiuse sports center in town and to raising the city sales tax to pay for it. With the final votes counted Friday, residents voted 306 to 286 in favor of a measure to raise the city sales tax from 2 percent to 2.5 percent to pay the estimated $14.7 million cost of building the center…Mayor Sarah Palin, who supported the measure, said the tight vote will motivate city officials to keep a close eye on the budget for the center.” [Anchorage Daily News, 3/9/02]
PALIN: “As for my running mate, you can be certain that wherever he goes, and whoever is listening, John McCain is the same man. I’m not a member of the permanent political establishment.”
McCain was for Roe v Wade before he was against it. In 2000, John McCain was for abortion in cases of rape (unlike Palin, who is against abortion in all circumstances). However, in 2007, John McCain voted to repeal Roe v Wade. McCain was for immigration reform before he distanced himself from it. McCain was against torture before he voted for waterboarding. McCain claims to be an advocate for veterans funding, yet he voted to cut veterans funding. McCain believed that the confederate flag was a "symbol of heritage" in 2000, but in 2007 he stated that "the confederate flag on top of the capital building" was wrong; in front it was ok.

McCain is only an agent of change, if you count the number of times he has flip flopped on the issues. Surely, Hillary Clinton will have something to say about the attempt by the McCain campaign to appropriate her "18 million cracks in the glass ceiling" remark and her electorate. HRC and Sarah Palin's stands on the issues are diametrically opposed. HRC the ball is in your court.

Mad At Hillary | SNL Harpoons Hillary Clinton

This Saturday Night Live sketch is not pulling any punches. Looks like the Clintons are pissing off more people. They are standing in the glaring light of their own classless blind ambition.

The Clintons are gambling that the superdelegates will buy the arguments that 1) her supporters are racist and won't vote for an African-American who represents the stated ideals of the Democratic party, 2) that African-Americans are slavishly loyal to the Dems and will turn-out to vote for Hillary even if they perceive that Obama should be the nominee by every standard set and 3) that the win at all costs, racist, morally bankrupt tactics of her campaign will be forgiven and forgotten by American voters (America loves a winner!).

Transcript:
"The following is a message from the next president of the united states, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
HILLARY (Amy Poehler):
Good Evening, my fellow Americans. As we all know, this has already been a long hard-fought campaign for the Democratic Presidential nomination. But tonight with my recent victory in Indiana and Senator Obama's in North Carolina. We remain exactly where we were four months ago, HOPELESSLY DEADLOCKED. Therefore this primary will be decided, as it should be, by the superdelegates. Based not on primary results or caucuses, or delegate counts, or popular vote. But on their sober assessment of which candidate will be the strongest against Senator McCain in November.

Tonight, I am here to tell you why I am that candidate.

FIRST, I AM A SORE LOSER. If and when I am the nominee. I know, as do the superdelegates, that Senator Obama will work his heart out for my election. If on the other hand, Senator Obama is chosen, I will probably refuse to campaign for him... thus insuring his defeat, so that I can run again in 2012. You see, unlike my opponent I AM JUST NOT GOING TO LOSE GRACEFULLY. This is not a criticism of Senator Obama, it's just a fact.

SECOND, MY SUPPORTERS ARE RACIST. If and when I am the nominee, Senator Obama's AA supporters will be disappointed perhaps, but they will still rally to me. If however, Senator Obama is the nominee, my supporters will refuse to vote for him, partly because I will secretly tell them not to, but mainly because they are RACIALLY BIASED and would never vote for any African-American candidate. I am not bragging, that's just the way it is.

Now to those of you that worry, that if my opponent is denied the nomination, most African-Americans might simply stay home. I remind you, a) until Senator Obama shockingly, rudely, and might I add selfishly won the Iowa caucuses, most African-Americans supported me. b) My husband was the first black president. And c) in the days ahead we expect to receive the endorsement of America's preeminent African-American leader, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

Which brings me to my THIRD and final argument, unlike Senator Obama, I HAVE NO ETHICAL STANDARDS... I will stop at nothing, absolutely nothing, to win... Whereas with Senator Obama there are some things he simply will not do. Take for example, the race card, which he has been reluctant to play; as in anyone who doesn't vote for me is a racist... I on the other hand will be happy to play the gender card. And claim that anyone who doesn't vote for me is a sexist. In fact, once Senator Obama is out of the picture, I look forward to playing the race card myself. As in anyone who doesn't vote for me, is both a sexist and a racist. Now to those of you who say, she'll never do that, it doesn't even make sense. I answer, if you believe that, then you don't know me.

So there you have it, SORE LOSER, RACIST SUPPORTERS, NO ETHICAL STANDARDS, qualities Senator Obama simply cannot match. That's not an attack on my opponent, that's just the truth. When you consider that, the choice is obvious."
