A People's Referendum
Haitians are taking to the street to reject the fraudulent results announced for the October 2015 elections. It's a broad base, massive call that amounts to a people's referendum to revoke Michel Martelly's immunity from prosecution while in office and demanding his resignation for corruption, electoral fraud and treason. If the US-Euros kept their unjust military and passport powers away from Haiti's domestic governance, did not routinely block the freedom and human right for Haitians to have their votes and choices respected, the legal bandits of Michel Martelly would not be in power, would have been toppled long ago and couldn't get away with this 2015 electoral fraud.

There's no parliament or justice institution to do it, so the sovereign people of Haiti are exercising a public referendum to revoke Martelly's immunity from prosecution while in office in addition to asking for his resignation for treason, crimes against Haiti sovereignty, the right to vote and for corruption.

Haitian lawyers, witnesses, victims and combattants, at home and abroad, who work to institutionalize the rule of law and to stop the tyranny imposed in Haiti, declare the Martelly Team and Michel Martelly are lawless and submit the Martelly 2010 selection, the uncontrollable Martelly decrees since he came into office and the August 9 and October 25, 2015 election scams as evidence of the Haitian people's charges.

Guatemala revoked the presidential immunity of Ostos & Sola client president Perez Molina. The people of Haiti will do the same with Ostos & Sola client Michel Martelly.

The US and the Martelly Regime had years to plan how to rig the elections and did actually fix and steal the August 9 and October 25th elections from the people of Haiti. The reign of impunity in Haiti that's orchestrated by the former slaveholding powers are nowhere more dirty than in some of the Parliamentary results announced by the ultra-right Michel Martelly/Sal Sola regime with Pierre-Louis Opont.

Guy Philippe a US-trained death squad leader running free in Haiti since he helped the US take down the democratically elected government in 2004, ran for a Senate seat in Parliament and actually placed for the upcoming December 27th runoffs. Philippe is also a wanted criminal in the United States on a sealed drug indictment.

USA Stop Supporting Robbers, Briberers, Drug-dealers and Kidnappers in Haiti

It's no wonder Haiti protestors carry signs asking the USA to stop supporting robbers, briberers, drug-dealers and kidnappers in Haiti against the Haitian people. For eleven years now, neither the UN troops, the Haiti police they train, nor the DEA could find wanted fugitive, Guy Philippe, in Haiti? Philippe ran for president in 2006. But the US/DEA couldn't find him then either. Mostly the unarmed protestors - poor Haitians in the popular neighborhoods - assumed to be against the occupational candidates, are the ones being rounded up for jail, shot, and brutally stomped on.

Showing the people's proof and statements about the 2015 electoral fraud, at Antonio Sola "Sal" Reche: King of the Dirty Campaign, I wrote:

"At 4:53 into the Tele Image video, we see testimony of a PHTK monitor who said he was paid to vote and the monitors where paid 1000 gourds or in cell phones, motorcycles, et al... to vote for the ruling party candidates. Later on in the video at 6:42, a witness shows one burnt ballot numbered and verified by the polling center showing a presidential vote for Moise Jean Charles. He says activists found it in Roro Nelson's house where thousands of votes from opposition areas where burnt. Ronald Nelson and Woodly A‰theart known as Sonson Lafamilia are close associate to Michel Martelly known for their extra-legal tactics and as coordinators of the ground campaigns to manufacture consent for Martelly's legal bandit team. Antonia "Sal" Sola Peche, like Michel Martelly's close associates ex-convict, Ronald Nelson and accused kidnapper for the Galil Gang, Sonson Lafamilia, are not unfamiliar to legal authorities."

U.S. imperialism in Haiti traditionally supports dictatorship, the tiny .05% billionaire white oligarchs from the Middle East and the death squad military and paramilitary trained to act against the local people. The Michel Martelly regime is their latest example. The U.S. uses the law as a tool to further empire's interests and not for equal protection.

For example, a few days ago, the U.S. arrested two relatives of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on drug-trafficking charges in Haiti. It so happens that the "Leftist" Maduro political party is facing a tough election in December 2015. This high level arrest will help US aims to install a right-wing corporate government in Venezuela. In contrast, Michel Martelly's bandits roam free and "legally" in Haiti because they do the work of empire. Two months ago, Michel Martelly's son, Oliver Martelly was reported arrested by DEA agents for money laundering and drug trafficking. This report is ignored and goes un-investigated by the mainstream media that are blasting the arrest of Maduro's two nephews.


The hypocritical U.S. can't find wanted DEA fugitive Guy Philippe who is running for a senate seat. The U.S. press ignores that a current president's son in Haiti was arrested in Miami. But they blast the arrest of Maduro's relatives. Why? Because Guy Philippe and Michel Martelly are part of their terrorist assets in Haiti. Guy Phillipe was trained by U.S. special forces and used in 2004 to help topple the democratically elected Aristide/Neptune people's government. Wanted US fugitive, Guy Philippe, also ran for president of Haiti in 2006. Neither the U.S., DEA, nor the United Nation troops in Haiti could find him then either. No matter how corrupt and ready to fall the Martelly reign becomes, the U.S. steps in to prop him up.

It must be swiftly mentioned, that for heretofore inexplicable reasons, which are made clearer by the U.S. arrests, corrupt high level officials from Venezuela, like the Venezuelan ambassador to Haiti, have stepped in, at crucial points during his reign, to prop up Martelly's corrupt rule.

Venezuela, the Mulatto Nations' Role in Haiti People's Persecution
Venezuela is South America's biggest oil producer. Through its Petrocaribe program, Venezuela sends subsidized oil to aid Martelly's government who pays half the debt up front and the rest over 25 years at 1 percent or 2 percent interest.

Martelly used two presidential decrees to authorized high-salaried jobs for his wife, Sophia Martelly and son, Olivier Martelly. They manage public funds from the Petrocaribe program for the social programs, Aba Grangou - down with hunger; ti manman cherie for vulnerable single mothers; and a soccer program where a Martelly decree created the Commission to Support the Coordination of Infrastructures for Sports. His wife and son are not public officials accountable to the people.

The Haiti office of audits and accounting accused Michel Martelly of waste and mismanagement of hundreds of millions in Venezuelan PetroCaribe funds. Claiming nepotism, there are lawsuits launched by Haitian lawyers alleging the unconstitutionality of these decrees to privately manage public funds and accusing Michel Martelly's wife and son, Olivier Martelly with embezzlement of government funds. The judge who was hearing the case against Sophia Martelly and Olivier Martelly mysteriously died.

But Maduro's government squashed momentum and the investigation, undermining Haiti institutional audit and legal proceedings by stepping in to say, Venezuela is satisfied with Martelly's use of PetroCaribe funds. This, despite the local Haiti audit report and despite it's the sovereign people of Haiti who will have to pay Venezuela back, not Michel Martelly, for the U.S. $1 billion in funds the legal bandits in the Martelly Team are borrowing from the sale of subsidized Venezuelan oil under the PetroCaribe program. This is but another aspect of the Latin American mulatto nation's disdain for the African masses' self-rule in Haiti that started from the betrayal and killing of all the Black Generals after the Haiti revolution, to the formation of the Dominican Republic, and the OAS's initial rejection of Haiti membership in the OAS. The mulatto factor against Haiti's African-centered existence is today most evident in the racist Left-Right white political solidarity against Black Haiti.

Like the other 11 Latin American nations participating (including Eva Morales "radical" Bolivia) in the United Nations' multinational military troops in Haiti, Venezuela supported the unpopular and scandal-ridden Martelly regime against Haiti institutional attempts and massive people protests to stop Martelly from forming his dictatorship these last five years. Maduro's government supports the lighter-skinned Martelly's corruption pretty much in the manner that the US, via Kenneth Merten, Hillary Clinton, Cheryl Mills, and John Kerry, have done.

Lawyers have already file charges in court against President Michel Martelly for violation such as: Corruption, protection of drug kingpins; protection of kidnappers, caused the death of a judge who ruled against President Martelly’s wife for corruption; theft of money slated for a variety of social programs, theft of money transfers from Haitians living in the Diaspora; theft of money from international phone calls, helped more than 300 prisoners escape from prison; associating with criminals, human rights violation and high treason. Furthermore, President Martelly has been in office for 4 years but has not organized a single election. Meanwhile, he has organized 7 carnivals.

In 2014, President Martelly and former Prime Minister Lamothe liberated more than 300 prisoners. Some are assassins, drug traffickers; kidnappers and rapists. The conditions have forced hundreds of thousands of people to go out into the streets to demand the arrest of Mr. Martelly and Lamothe; as well as the liberation of all the political prisoners. One would think that a country such as the United States that claim to support democracy would renounce such individuals. On the contrary the U.S. government supports them. According to Haitian newspaper Alterpresse, on October 23rd 2013, Vice President Joseph Biden spoke on the telephone with President Michel Martelly. He congratulated President Martelly for his effort in working with parliament to find a solution to the electoral crisis.

On December 16th 2014, Secretary of State John Kerry stated that he saluted the “courageous effort” of President Martelly to find a solution to the electoral crisis. About 3 years ago, a picture of the U.S. Ambassador to Haiti Pamela White was posted on Facebook walking hand in waist with former Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe at a carnival. On January 11th 2015, the Ambassador sat in the chambers of parliament assisting during a night session. On February 5th 2015, the Ambassador met with 6 of the 10 Senators who’s term had not expired to talk about the elections. Bill Clinton took more then $10 billion of Haitian reconstruction money. We want to see all the receipts! the question is would the U.S. government allow Ambassadors of China and Russia to sit in the Halls of Congress?

We demand the U.S. government to stop violating international norms and conventions immediately! We’re asking the U.S. Attorney General Mr. Eric Holder to launch an inquiry on Vice President Joseph Biden, Secretary of State John Kerry; Bill & Hillary Clinton for interfering in the internal politics of Haiti. Today Haitians Are in Open Rebellion

The situation in Haiti today is another U.S. occupation with the UN as proxy going into its 11th year. The anniversary of the 2004 U.S., Canada and France orchestrated coup of Haiti's first democratically elected government is on February 29, 2015.

The Haitian Parliament's and Michel Martelly's ended on January 12 last week. The U.S-backed Martelly picked Evans Paul as Prime Minister after the hasty departure of Laurent Lamothe in the midst of major demonstrations against the government. Evans Paul headed "The Democratic Convergence", organizations which supported the 2004 coup against Lavalas The two are to rule by decree as a dictatorship. The Martelly regime stalled elections for over three years.

This scenario was encouraged by Martelly's handlers, because how do you get to this impasse? You ignore the rule of law, the Haitian constitution, jail, threaten or murder the opposition and generally act as unstatesmanlike as possible while stealing from the government (and Diaspora's) coffers, like the unqualified skinhead who holds eight passports that you are, you had the U.S. Ambassador to back up your big lie about not being an American citizen. Otherwise, aside from your deficit in character, humanity and probity, you are not qualified for the Haitian presidency.

Throw in a UN military occupation of 9,000 from all corners of the globe, which delivers "a quiet genocide" from the "unintended" import of a deadly cholera strain from Nepal and soon the battlefield is littered with a conservative 10,000+ Haitian dead. Who could have predicted that?

The Obama regime supported the dismissal of a lawsuit brought against the UN by the cholera victims and a NY judge did just that to begin another year of United Nations impunity and unaccountability in Haiti. They own the game, so they can make and break the rules if it suits them. A majority of the time, it suits them. Particularly, if it accomplishes the goals they met to secretly hash out (with no Haitians present) at a little meeting called, the Ottawa Initiative. One issue they aced was doing something to depopulate Haiti (of Haitians - all others welcome). This issue they lamented, was a "ticking time bomb." Nature, fault lines, HAARP, deep ocean mining... it all coalesced to cull 100s of thousands of Haitians at once. Hey, you have to admit, there was an awful lot of them. And so few of US! Well, that's one way that conversation at that Ottawa meeting might have gone. Course, they could have discussed how concerned they were about a country with the lowest crime rate in the Caribbean, so many independent souls, what a unique Afro-Caribbean culture, what a wonderful history, such a proud people....Nahhh!

"Why are UN soldiers in Haiti, a country with one of the lowest crime rates in the Western Hemisphere? Why is the UN not in the Dominican Republic or Brazil, which has more violence than Haiti, or even Arizona with its much higher crime rates? Why is the US the largest funder of the UN mission in Haiti? The reason, is unbelievable for Americans, fed a diet of mainstream lies, to absorb. But the results of colonial interventions everywhere on planet earth bear this out. It’s obvious in the Caribbean nations surrounding Haiti. The warmongering UN, US and their private military security contractors (PMSCs), like DYNCORP, are in Haiti to assure Haiti becomes as violent and incarcerated as the rest of the “developed” Caribbean." — Ezili Dantò

There have been almost daily protest in the streets for almost a solid month (Named: Opération Burkina Faso after the successful 2014 uprising in BF) up until January 12 when Parliament dissolved, now 5 days later, they've started up again in even greater numbers.

The protester's chief demand is that Martelly leave. The "real opposition," (meaning those who have not reconciled with Martelly and injustice by signing on to be a part of this dictatorship. One is Senator Moise. See his statement quoted below.) has proposed an interim government to organize elections headed by the runner-up in the last presidential, election held in 2010, Mirlande Manigat.

A video was circulated of the UN military shooting live rounds at unarmed civilians during one of these protests. Meanwhile, the body count is mounting, and a bloodbath is predicted if Martelly doesn't leave soon.

Will any of this #BlackLivesMatter blood get on the Obama legacy? Or will it just be a small little blip... not unlike a drone over Iran, Pakistan, Yemen, Afghanistan, Texas, Uganda...

What we are seeing on the ground is a predictably militarized response to peaceful unarmed protesters by the Haitian Police and the UN, so sadly, those predictions are looking to be real. This is also evidenced by some of the bloody and gruesome evidence of the dead and injured that one cannot avoid seeing posted on-line.

Another year of a brutal U.S. occupation, but this time Haiti is not alone in that;
1) the richest "part of Africa is now under the absolute and brutal control of the West: Somalia and Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), as well as South Sudan."

Hillary Clinton's State Department paid-off two "human rights" organizations, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch to facilitate regime change in Eritrea. Take a look at a map. Eritrea shares two borders on the African continent, one with Somalia, the other with Sudan. So guess that's why they're under a constant siege. The Bush regime was pushing for the same atrocities. The Eritrians are called "the Cuba of Africa" because they've held out for so long, in comparison to their neighbors.

2) Other countries around the globe are or have been subject to regime change by the U.S. and its client states and remain either in chaos, civil war or under siege, including but not limited to: Libya, Ivory Coast, Sudan, Ukraine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan, Yemen, Venezuela, North Korea, Iran, Russia and Palestine/Gaza.

A special congratulations to Cuba for making a deal with the Obama regime to restore diplomatuc relations. The U.S. has ended travel restrictions. The remaining Cuban 5 returned home (yeah!). Hopefully the embargo will officially end. It should be good news. And one shouldn't feel as if we haven't heard the real story. Cuba has been noticeably acquiescent lately and downright traiturous towards Haiti... like the rest of "leftist" Latin America. Lost that revolutionary spirit since Raoul Castro replaced Fidel. Although, it was so impressive the way they sent over 100 doctors to fight the Ebola virus! Viva!

On the CBS Evening News yesterday, they reported some good news. In Liberia, Ebola is all but contained. In Nigeria and Sierra Leone, there's been good progress. Condolences to the villages in Nigeria who have been attacked by Boko Haram. What's the progress one wonders by those "experts" Obama sent to locate those 100 girls? It was reported that the total kidnappings to date are over two hundred. And the massacre of the entire village of Beja, Nigeria, which was happening during the high-profile Charlie Hebdo incident, where 17 people reportedly died, is estimated to be 2,000. How can Boko Haram be so strong now, they are looking to establish an Islamic state. Wow. It's almost as if they're being rewarded for making the Nigerian government look extremely bad. That would be a plan, if one wanted to undermine what reportedly is Africa's strongest economy... it's got all that oil.

Do #BlackLivesMatter if you can see the devastated village where the Boko Haram massacre occurred from space? Where is the fervor with which NATO "humanitarian" bombed Libya? The "humanitarians" and their NGOs probably can't find any good targets with those satellites that track human rights issues from space.

Obama sent troops to contain the population of Ebola victims in Liberia... can't have these diseased people getting on planes. So callous. So predictable. One can't expect a leopard to change its spots - it is a predator.

In case your wondering where the U.S. stands on this whole ruling by decree/dictatorship thing... the U.S. ambassador to Haiti is squarely on the side of dictatorship.

Haiti Activists Urge Rejection of Both Congressional Candidates in Harlem

Incumbent Harlem Congressman Charles Rangel and his main challenger, State Sen. Adriano Espaillat, are both guilty of supporting “apartheid” policies against Dominicans of Haitian descent, charged demonstrators outside a televised campaign debate. Under a law passed by the Dominican Republic and endorsed by Rangel and Espaillat, less than 10 percent of 200,000-plus people with roots in Haiti will quality for Dominican citizenship, even though most have never set foot outside the country and speak only Spanish. Daoud Andre, a Haitian community activist, called on Harlemites “not to vote for either of these supporters of apartheid,” and for “people of conscience around the world to boycott Dominican products and services,” including tourism.

An Emergency Call to Action: Protest Racial Hypocrisy of Espaillat, Rangel and Silence of Walrond in 13th Congressional Race

Activists from around New York City will hold a protest in front of the main entrance of Lehman College (250 Bedford Park Blvd W, New York, NY 10468) on Wednesday June 11th from 5pm to 9pm during a televised debate of candidates running for the 13th Congressional seat: incumbent Charles Rangel, State Senator Adriano Espaillat, and Rev. Michael Walrond. The protest is to let the world know that the real issue of racism in this Congressional Race is not Rangel's comments on Espaillat's Dominican ethnicity but the support of both leading candidates for the Apartheid policy of the Dominican Republic's Government against Haitian immigrants and Dominicans of Haitian descent. The protest will condemn the silence of Rev. Walrond for not speaking out against this human rights travesty.

For generations, Haitians and Dominicans of Haitian descent living in the DR have been living in a situation of apartheid, treated with disdain and discriminated against because of the color of their skin. Massacres, mass deportations, rape, and all sorts of violence have been their lot. On September 23rd, 2013 the Dominican Constitution Tribunal, the country's highest court, decided to strip all Dominicans of Haitian descent born in the DR between 1929 to 2007 of their Dominican citizenship. In response to the outcry from within the country and all over the world, on May 15th, 2014 Dominican President Danilo Medina proposed what he called a humanitarian bill to resolve the situation. Both houses of the Dominican Congress unanimously passed this bill without debate. The problem with this "humanitarian" law is that out of the 210,000 Dominicans of Haitian descent, the DR Government itself claims were affected by the Sept. 23rd ruling only 13,000 at most will get their Dominican citizenship restored. Not even 10% of those supposedly affected will get relief. This is an outrage and must be opposed.

Rudy Eugene was Not a "Zombie" or "Cannibal"

According a criminal complaint the FBI filed, NYPD Officer Gilberto Valle likes hot women, trussed, slow cooked and served.

"The evidence against the officer, a six-year veteran of the New York Police Department, consists of e-mails and instant messages in which he was “discussing plans to kidnap, rape, torture, kill, cook and eat body parts of a number of women,” according to the complaint against the officer, Gilberto Valle. The Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested him on Wednesday in Queens."

Gilberto Valle's story illustrates how a psychotic criminal behaves. It is not a spontaneous act of passion, rage and hate, but well-planned revolting sadistic mentally unstable diabolical misogynist sick and monstrous.

Valle had fantasies where he literally ate women, Rudy Eugene dated hot women, preferring them alive and unskewered. One girlfriend described Eugene as "a sweet loving gentleman" and a hard-working man."

The other girlfriend Yovanka Bryant said at a press conference held by her lawyer Gloria Allred, that Eugene studied the bible and carried it around. She felt "safe" with him and trusted him around her son. Eugene's mother stated that Eugene could not have possibly been in his right mind, "they" must have "injected" him with something.

Questions and facts to ponder about the uncharacteristic and brutal way Mr. Eugene attacked poor homeless Mr. Poppo:

1. The autopsy found there was no human flesh in Rudy Eugene's stomach.

2. What sparked his violent behavior? No one knows, but it must have been powerful. It wasn't the marijuana found in his system. However, the fact is: pills have the ability to effect people without going through the digestive process. Under the tongue for instance is one avenue where pills can be absorbed. That's why vitamins, heart medications and other medications are taken sublingually.
3. Admittedly, the attack was brutal and unprovoked, but even before any investigation was launched, news media reported police statements speculating that Eugene was possibly on bath salts — helping to not only poison public opinion, but to predispose the outcome of any in-dept investigation.
4. Of course, any investigation would have been facilitated if the man was Tased, rather than shot to death on the spot.
5. The news media used prejudicial terms like "Causeway Cannibal" and "Miami Zombie" to describe the attack -- this is not totally accurate.
6. Eugene's girlfriends considered him to be a decent man, who treated them well.
7. Although, Eugene had one minor arrest for a domestic violence incident involving his mother,  he had no felony convictions. His mother considered the attack on Mr. Poppo an uncharacteristic aberration. He was a fine man," stepdad Melimon Charles told Miami New Times.

8. Eugene broadcast that he was of Haitian decent because his car was emblazoned with a Haitian flag. It's possible his presumed ancestry and the possibility that he was passed out in his car after a break down or something, might have put a target on his back.
9. It's clear that his immigrant family is from Haiti, but maybe if people knew that Rudy Eugene was an American* who was born February 4, 1981 at Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital they wouldn't have been so quick to add this "Zombie" or "cannibal" attack label on him? This "Zombie" myth has been linked to Haiti through Hollywood movies and has very often been proven to be a scandalous lie (hint: The Lancet 1997 study diagnosed three medical conditions, but found no "Zombies" in Haiti). The "Zombie" myth has its uses; for some Haitians who perpetuate it, it probably gives them a feeling of empowerment. The negative repercussions are when the powers that be use this colonial narrative to continue to marginalize Haitians as irreligious, violent and criminal. Haitians are decent, hard-working, often very religious people.
10. Finally, not to be a conspiracy theorist, but why hasn't the public been told what those pills were? It doesn't take this long to determine the chemical composition of a pill does it? The attack was May 26, 2012, and the last medical report was released on Jun 27, 2012. The whole incident is very mysterious. Why the secrecy? Is it possible that Rudy Eugene, as his mother alleges, was a victim too?

Speaking of people being injected with mysterious drugs that alter their behavior... here's some food for thought: Government employed scientists, pharmaceutical company scientists, illicit drug dealers and other "mad scientists" are always busy formulating drugs, vaccines and "therapies" that have "unintended consequences."

It's interesting to note that the Pentagon's super secret scientific "mad scientists," the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency or DARPA is paying Texas A&M University US$9 million to develop something that will produce what Wired.com calls "Hibernating Soldiers" -- guess someone thought it best not to call them Zombies -- has negative connotations that might rankle the ranks.

Evidently, no one is forthcoming with that much coveted "secret" formula. Such a formula would probably serve another purpose; maybe for space travel if it suspended the evolutionary clock. The ability to produce a powerful psychoactive drug that reportedly can make a person a "Zombie" though, is pure Haitian folklore. Presumably, if such a formula existed, DARPA could have saved some or all of the $9 million they are spending — or not.

Aside from the seemingly rampant interest in Zombies in pop-culture, movies and TV, it's been reported that an international group of scientists are studying an ant in the Amazon that they're calling a "Zombie Ant."

Back to the Hollywood version of a brain-eating "Zombie." It's all hype and no substance in reality.  Zombies, if you understand their meaning, are brain dead cadavers who are programmed to respond to directives from their masters. The fact that in American pop culture and in the news, a "Zombie" is associated with a violent "attack," conclusively proves that American's fears about things they haven't really even bothered to find out about, specifically relating to Haitian culture, have very little basis in reality. Drone would be a better term to use — something or someone programed to attack. Let's try that on for size: "Miami Drone" or "Causeway Drone." There, that's better.

Haiti's cholera epidemic is the worst in the world

Just checking… is the UN still denying responsibility for bringing cholera to Haiti? It's been long observed that Haiti was a "totally naive environment" before the UN Nepalese troops arrived to occupy Haiti's breadbasket, the Artibonite. There is abundant "Confirmation of the Origin of the Haiti Cholera Disaster: UN Nepalese Troops."

Haiti's cholera epidemic is now the worst in the world, having claimed over $7,040 victims and infecting over 523,000 more.

Even U.N. Special Envoy Bill Clinton has said the U.N. brought cholera to Haiti, but the UN is denying its role in the devastating cholera outbreak.

Until now, the UN has not officially replied to the complaint, saying it is still “being studied,” and continues to deny responsibility. Just last week, the UN Secretary General’s spokesman said that “it was not possible to be conclusive about how cholera was introduced into Haiti.”

What a conundrum! How does the UN explain that a "UN Panel was able to quickly use the simpler MLVA method in their analysis of the 2009 specimen, occurring a year earlier in Nepal than the epidemic in Haiti. Of this laboratory work they wrote, "a careful analysis of the MLVA results and the ctxB gene indicated that the strains isolated in Haiti (during 2010) and Nepal during 2009 were a perfect match ^(1)."

If the cholera lawsuit filed by the Institute for Justice and Democracy (IJDH) ever gets assessed in a courtroom, it should be a slam dunk, right? Here's the thing that is puzzling about this lawsuit; that have skeptics asking: are they for real?

How can the very same people who are closely associated with the U.N. claim to be representing the U.N.'s Haitian victims? The IJDH is represented by Dr. Evan Lyon who works for Partners in Health in Haiti, which was founded by U.N. Deputy Special Envoy to Haiti Paul Farmer. Attorney Brian Concannon, the IJDH Director, would theoretically be the one who put Paul Farmer on the Board of Directors of the IJDH, where Paul Farmer still serves.

Meanwhile, it's clear from this July 14, 2011 interview on Democracy Now! that Paul Farmer is a U.N. employee and represents it's interests. Farmer, has gone on the record to deny U.N. responsibility for bringing cholera to Haiti and blames conditions in Haiti for the pandemic.

AMY GOODMAN: Now, you were one of the first people—you were quoted by AP—saying that the cholera after the earthquake was brought in by the Nepali—the Nepalese peacekeeping force, the U.N. force. How did that happen?

DR. PAUL FARMER: How did it happen that I was rash enough to say that?

AMY GOODMAN: No, how did it happen that they did it?

DR. PAUL FARMER: Well, of course, it was completely unwitting. I mean, no one—no one ever intends to bring a disease into a population that had been free of it. And I really, in a way, wish I hadn’t even gotten involved in the discussion, in a way.

If the attorney(s) claiming to represent cholera victims have Paul Farmer on their Board of Directors, shouldn't they recuse themselves? There is a clear conflict of interest here, which should disqualify them from representing the victims of the cholera epidemic. They should turn over their resources to lawyers who will act as "officers of the court" -- who see their duty as representing "the truth, including avoiding dishonesty or evasion."

It's outrageous that Farmer, a physician, who is sworn to "first do no harm" is also backing a "vaccine" for potential victims. If Farmer really cared about making a positive difference in the lives of Haitians (and no one can deny that Farmer has shown that side of himself in the past), he would still be fighting for a sustainable solution -- clean drinking water and water infrastructure. Cholera is a waterborne disease. The parallel that can be drawn here: it's like administering a vaccine to people in anticipation of an outbreak of salmonella and other foodborne illnesses.

Farmer, is a close associate and friend of U.N. Envoy Bill Clinton, who has been using Haiti as a disaster capitalism hub for himself and his ultra-rich friends -- like Warren Buffet of Clayton Homes and Katrina disaster formaldehyde trailers infamy. Clinton paid Clayton Homes a million dollars for bringing formaldehyde laced trailers to Haiti's school children -- that's something else we can all agree on Esquire Magazine.

The Clinton Global Initiative are co-sponsoring "cholera insurance" for Haiti's market women. What should we term that little enterprise -- windfall or rainfall profits? The Clinton's propensity for being implicated in scandals and corruption is as rampant as it ever was.

Haiti Liberté writes that the IJDH speaks for "The petitioners [who] also call on the UN to take constructive action to prevent cholera’s spread and to formally accept responsibility for importing cholera into Haiti" -- if that is so, then why is the IJDH not filing a class action lawsuit on behalf of all 523,000+ victims of the imported cholera scourge and their families? The IJDH -- the face of the "complainants" -- has instead chosen to represent just 5,000 of the "cholera survivors or close family members of someone killed by the disease."

Ezili Dantò terms the folks behind the cholera lawsuit: "paid to lose tenured progressives" because clearly they are "crisis handling" this "embarrassing" situation for their bosses and close associates at the "United Nations" -- the goal is to make it all go away.

Meanwhile, the U.N. is continuing to cower behind the amoral, unjust and indefensible mantle of "plausible deniability."

With these kinds of friends... Haiti does not need enemies.

It was the Bush regime that sponsored the Haiti coup in 2004 that brought in the U.S. puppet Boca Raton regime of Gerard Latortue responsible for these U.N. "peacekeepers" entering Haiti to practice their brutal form of "humanitarianism." The TOURISTAH have been in Haiti for almost eight years now getting their generous "hazard pay" of $6,000 a month -- with a budget of $832 million a year, MINUSTAH is paid well for their rapacious occupation of Haiti.

Bring a class action lawsuit on behalf of all the victims of U.N. cholera against the United States! The U.S. cannot continue to operate with impunity in the world, particularly against small nations, which have no standing army, weapons or means to defend themselves from the most powerful nation(s) of the world.

The U.N. is primarily a military force, which is deployed all over the world to protect and secure the interests of the 1 percent, albeit NATO seems to have taken up a lot of the U.N.'s duties of late. So do take heed closet racists in Brazil, you're mercenary services as head of MINUSTAH may no longer be required. Occupying Haiti at the behest of the U.N.'s "Big Powers" sure hasn't brought Brazil the permanent seat on the Security Council they were seeking -- thus far.

The U.S. is a signatories to international human rights treaties. Due respect to Human Rights Watch for calling out the United States on their continuing hypocrisy -- it's about time:

The failure of the US to join with other nations in taking on international human rights legal obligations has undercut its international leadership on key issues, limiting its influence, its stature, and its credibility in promoting respect for human rights around the world.

UN Impunity in Haiti: Cholera Outbreak IS Criminal Negligence

1) What this report fails to show is what "'century" exactly did Haiti have a previous outbreak of cholera? It can't since Haiti has never had a documented case of a cholera outbreak. The UN was/is well aware that Haitians did not have antibodies to protect them from cholera. The UN is the one primarily military organization (not humanitarian) which is in the best position to know this because of its supposed "mandate" to help prevent the spread of disease in the world. You'd think that would be a priority in Haiti, but evidently not, given their criminal negligence there. A legitimate question to posit: since the UN "mandate" in Haiti has been repeatedly renewed by the Security Council, are they carrying out a secret agenda? Is the UN practicing bio-warfare in Haiti?

The UN's defense of its criminal behavior in Haiti is absurd. They claim that since Haiti had prime conditions where cholera or other water-bourne disease would thrive, then Haiti itself is responsible for the deadly outbreak... so let's have another real life example where the UN's twisted logic can be applied: if a criminal shoots a policeman and that policeman is not wearing a bullet proof vest and he dies, then he is responsible for his own death.

2) What this report does show is that the UN thinks it is above the law and has operated with impunity in Haiti. So much so that it hasn't even bothered to follow through on its own legal requirements/obligations of putting in place a commission to uphold the rule-of-law; to hear criminal complaints brought against them -- an absurd conflict of interest in the first place!

3) The "agreement" that Haiti is said to have signed, which allows "MINUSTAH" to occupy Haiti under Chapter VII (conditions not met in Haiti), was signed when Haiti was under the illegal US installed regime of Gerard Latortue, so it has no validity. The criminal UN occupation of Haiti is illegal, criminal and based on lies.

Interesting reading: Bill Clinton acknowledged “that a UN peacekeeping soldier brought cholera to Haiti by accident.”

It is being reported that once again MINUSTAH's mandate in Haiti is to be renewed. By now it is clear to most Haitians that the UN mandate in Haiti was not for the protection and security of Haitians. During the tenure of MINUSTAH Haitians have suffered more loss of lives than they had under the Duvalier dictatorships.

The UN unleashed a virulent form of cholera in Haiti. The cholera was in fecal matter dumped into the Meye River from the UN's Mirebalais base in the heartland and food growing countryside of Haiti. The cholera epidemic is not the first time the world has made Haiti its toilet facility. According to the Haitian Ministry of Health, there has been 520,550 reported cumulative cholera cases, 284,121 hospitalizations and 7,025 deaths, as of january 20, 2012."

Given this fact, it is useful to know something about the history of the United States germ warfare in the Western Hemisphere, which is a legacy held over from it's European antecedents. "Germ warfare is an integral part of European history, and it is not farfetched to think that the English began that practice in their earliest days of invading North America."

The likelihood of germ warfare is given credence when you read about the history of United States germ warfare and experimentation on people of color, particular recent history of what was done to Haitian refugees in Guantanamo Bay and other American detention centers. The shameful, cruel and inhuman details of these tragic atrocities and injustices must be fully exposed.

"1980-1981:

Within months of their incarceration in detention centers in Miami and Puerto Rico, many male Haitian refugees developed an unusual condition called "gynecomasia". This is a condition in which males develop full female breasts. A number of the internees at Ft. Allen in Puerto Rico claimed that they were forced to undergo a series of injections which they believed to be hormones."

The layers of U.S. atrocities in Haiti are mind-bending and does not stop with their meddling with Haiti's sovereign domestic affairs. Germ warfare may very well be part of the arsenal of weapons being used in their ongoing crimes against humanity in progress in Haiti.

Sean Penn lately has become a tool of American impunity in Haiti. Echoing the U.S. State Department and their puppet Martelly, Penn thinks that Haiti should take it easy on former Haitian dictator Jean-Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier. Shocking many victims of the brutal regime, a Haitian judge, Jean Carvez dropped crimes against humanity charges against Duvalier.

“Haiti is not the kind of country that can afford to do the kind of righteous accountability that we have a high responsibility to in our own government, and one that we very rarely fulfill,” Mr. Penn said. [Sean Penn interviewed on Tavis Smiley]

Haitians, who can speak for themselves disagree. Thousands of protesters marched in Port-au-Prince on the 26th year anniversary of the fall of the Baby Doc dictatorship to denounce the decision to drop the human rights charges against the hated regime.

"Many cultural critics, such as Michael Parenti, Noam Chomsky, and Ben Bagdikian, have pointed out that in order for American power to carry out the atrocities it has perpetrated abroad, it needs to "manufacture" the consent of the American people. That is because America must at one and the same time carry out the appearance that it is the freest society in the world (true, to a degree, as Chomsky acknowledges) while tyrannizing much of the rest of the world. The democracy of the U.S. is managed, while the democracy of the rest of the world is deterred..."

The United States secret war on Haiti escalated with the removal of Haiti's first real democracy and the installion of an American puppet (Gerard LaTortue) who illegally approved the installation of the UN military force. They then manufactured consent for installing the current black overseers, who are headed by a burlesque performer (Michel Martelly) selected for his pliability and loyalty to American Empire. This American approved gang is currently busy installing their criminal allies: Duvalierists, Macoutes, FAdH, SIN... and other U.S. backed and financed terrorists and criminals into positions of power.

If it wasn't apparent to anyone before, it should be now -- there can never be PEACE or RECONCILIATION without JUSTICE.

The above reference remarks by the newly minted Haitian Ambassador at large, Sean Penn aside, Americans are not more deserving of justice than Haitians or any other country they have unleashed their Imperial hubris, greed and self-serving evil intent on.

There they were, at the official ceremony: the living, breathing banes of Haiti’s existence. “Rubbing shoulders on stage, shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries were Haitian President Michel Martelly, former US President and UN Special Envoy, Bill Clinton, and, Jean Claude Duvalier,” the mass murderer and former dictator. The dictator is hoping for some kind of comeback, and the puppet president “will open up Haiti to permanent US occupation and economic exploitation while terrorizing Haitians who fight back.” Clinton oversees the whole process on behalf of imperialism.

“Duvalier has been allowed to roam Haiti’s streets, even dining at the finest restaurants with the likes of Sean Penn.”

Lost amidst the heart-wrenching stories and photographs of the “poor Haitians” living in squalor and misery circulating on the second anniversary of the 12 January 2010 earthquake, another set of images appeared. Few people noticed these other images – they received little attention in the mainstream media – but they offer an insight into the prospects for Haiti’s reconstruction and, indeed, into the prospects for Haiti’s political and economic future.

The images were taken during the official commemoration ceremonies at the hillside of Titanyen [pdf], north of Port-au-Prince, where former dictators Jean Claude Duvalier and his father, Francois Duvalier, discarded the bodies of their political opponents. After the earthquake, it became the gravesite of thousands of unidentified earthquake victims. During the ceremonies, local delegates and international diplomats paid their respects to the Haitians that lost their lives and pledged to help those who lived. But the most striking image that emerged during the ceremonies was that of an immoral triumvirate. Rubbing shoulders on stage, shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries were Haitian President Michel Martelly, former US President and UN Special Envoy, Bill Clinton, and, Jean Claude Duvalier. To understand the future of Haiti, we have to shift our focus from the “poor Haitians” who dominate Haiti coverage and understand the significance of these three figures to the shaping of US imperial designs on Haiti.

“Baby Doc” Duvalier returned to Haiti after twenty-five years in exile on 16 January 2010. His arrival was supposedly a surprise, though it is becoming clear that he was given the go-ahead by France and the United States. The Obama administration’s relative silence around the return of Duvalier needs to be contrasted with the noise it made while it forcefully tried to prevent the return of Jean Bertrand Aristide, Haiti’s first democratically elected President. The contrast smacks of duplicity. Let’s remember that under Duvalier (and his father, Francois) nearly 50,000 Haitians were killed, disappeared, and tortured by the reviled tonton macoutes, his private army. At the same time, Duvalier embezzled hundreds of millions of dollars, most of which sponsored an exiled life of grandeur. Despite the calls for his arrest and prosecution by Haitian survivors, lawyers, and international human rights organizations, Duvalier has been allowed to roam Haiti’s streets, even dining at the finest restaurants with the likes of Sean Penn.

What does Duvalier symbolize? For Haiti’s elite, he represents a form of totalitarian nostalgia. There is a cultish aura that surrounds Duvalier, a reminder of the era of “macoutized bourgeoisie,” as journalist Kim Ives has referred to it, when there was an alliance between the elite and the paramilitary forces of terror. But Duvalierism was also good for US politics and economics. In the 1960s, they needed Francois (“Papa Doc”) Duvalier to offset the rise of revolutionary communist Cuba. Under Jean Claude (“Baby Doc”), they were able to open up the Haitian markets and resources to US businesses, expand sweatshops, and lay the basis for the coming neoliberal economic policies.

This is where the US-selected President Martelly and “Papa” Bill Clinton come in. As we’ve pointed out here on Black Agenda Report, right-wing candidate Martelly was handpicked by the Obama administration to become Haiti’s president in a forced election marred by irregularities and low voter turn out. More importantly, he is the face – and backbone – of a resurgent Duvalierism. His Duvalier affinities are well known as is his animus towards former President Aristide. He has historic ties with Duvalier loyalists, has called for “amnesty” for Duvalier, and is now in the process of reestablishing the Haitian army. Moreover, his erratic and belligerent interactions with his constituency and political colleagues – and, in particularly, his threats against Haitian journalists – are early indications of his repressive tendencies.

But he is a good puppet. As Ezili Danto of the Haitian Lawyers Leadership Network reminds us: “Martelly is merely a tool to be used by those ‘more schooled in the patterns of privilege and domination’ than any self-serving Haiti politician could ever dream to be. Martelly is the valve that releases accumulated surface pressure while reinforcing the ‘violent Haitian’ narrative. Brilliant US/Euro move. A no brainer.” In the meantime, he will open up Haiti to permanent US occupation and economic exploitation while terrorizing Haitians who fight back. As the U.S. attempts to consolidate its military presence in the Western hemisphere, control of Haiti is important. For many, this is one of the reasons explaining Haiti’s currently military occupation by the UN-led criminal force, MINUSTAH, the largest UN military force in a country that is not at war. It is also the reason for the massive new US embassy in Haiti, the fourth largest US embassy in the world.

And then there’s Bill Clinton. Clinton provides the “kind” face of US control of Haiti. With his push to turn Haiti into a Western tourist paradise while Haitians become cheap sweatshop labor for making Western goods, Clinton is the arbiter of a new phase of neoliberalism. Clinton practically dictates Haitian policy. In fact, in one of the more absurd and nepotistic twists of Haiti’s political history, Haiti’s Prime Minister, Gary Conille, is Clinton’s former chief of staff. Conille also has a long family history with the Duvaliers: his father was a minister to Baby Doc. As @dominique_e recently said on twitter, everything is set to “kill Haiti with neoliberalism.”

Last week, Glen Ford remarked that in the US media, “Haiti is most often spoken of as a tragedy – when it is actually the scene of horrific crimes, mainly perpetrated by the United States over the span of two centuries.” With the puppet, the dictator, and the president on the scene, it is hard to imaging a more sinister cohort guiding Haiti down the path of US exploitation.
